Florian Hill, born in 1984, lives in Silz, in the Austrian province of Tirol. Already at the age of 5 he ventured his first mountain hikes with his father and his older brother.

This terrain had a magical pull on Florian. Even in his younger years with the encouragement from his equally sporty father, he achieved the necessary physique.

Florian spent most of his youth doing competitive sports, that payed off in national and international wins and success. At the age of 21 years he started doing expedition like tours.

Under extreme conditions he trained sledge dogs near the artic circle for the longest and hardest long distance race in Europe. More adventures far from civilisation followed in the winter of the canadian mountains. At temperatures as extreme as -50 °C, living became more of a survival. Only a few months later he started exploring the mountains of the Asian continent. Florian wittnessed the military regime and unfortunately failed to even get close to the highest mountain of Southeast Asia , the Hkakabo Razi (5881m).

After more intensive mountain and climbing tours in the foothills of the Himalayas, he made a secluded mountainmonastery his destination.

The art in the vertical is to search for new possibilities and try to find new ways.
